AnkhSvn is a free, open‑source Subversion (SVN) plug‑in that integrates version control directly into Microsoft Visual Studio. It lets you commit, update, merge, and resolve conflicts without leaving the IDE, using familiar Visual Studio windows and workflows. Designed to feel native, it recognizes solutions and projects, shows file status in real time, and uses Visual Studio’s diff and merge tools.

Key features:

  • Full SVN operations inside Visual Studio: commit, update, revert, merge, and resolve
  • Integrated history, diff, and blame/annotate views
  • Repository browsing plus branch and tag creation
  • Pending Changes and Solution Explorer integration with status overlays
  • Works with standard Subversion working copies and can coexist with tools like TortoiseSVN

Note: Active development has been minimal in recent years, and compatibility is strongest with older versions of Visual Studio. If you rely on newer VS releases, verify support before adopting.

AnkhSvn is developed by Arild Fines, Per Kr?mer & Kristin Borud and is used by 43 users of Software Informer. The most popular versions of this product among our users are: 2.2, 2.3, 2.4, 2.5 and 2.6. The name of the program executable file is Architecture_3D_3-Premium_Demo.exe.
